The Brief

The 80-million Euro Stadtbibliothek am Mailänder Platz created by Korean architect Eun Young Yi is a monolithic cube with two floors underground and nine above. Both the inside and outside of the building is white with the main library floors circling an open-plan and all levels connected by open staircases. Books line the outer walls of each floor.
